Restaurants of Helsinki

The oldest and most prestigious fish and seafood restaurant in Helsinki has its natural location alongside the harbour and the market square, in the heart of the city's historic centre. Havis Amanda has attracted friends of seafood since 1973 and created a reputation as one of the finest in its field.

Pure and most of all fresh Finnish ingredients in all dishes give you a true experience in Lappish cousine. Chef, Mr. Vesa Ratia, runs the kitchen with a long experience in Finnish, Lappish and international cooking.

Upon its completion this building - the work of famed architects Gesellius, Lindgren and Saarinen - attracted a great deal of attention for its simple and elegant style. After many twists and turns along the way, the basement was turned into a restaurant in 1965.

A restaurant for representation or private occasions, unique in its milieu, built into the old red brick storehouses at the foot of the Uspenski Cathedral. The Sipuli, known as a high standard ŕ la carte restaurant, now also serves its clients as a high standard lunch restaurant.
