Finnish Sauna Society is a private cultural association which has around 2800 members.The Finnish Sauna Society maintains a sauna establishment in Helsinki on a nature surrounded spot by the sea. Saunas are open only for the members and for Helsinki Card holders (pre-booking is always required). There are two wood-heated saunas, two traditional smoke saunas and a city sauna. Possibility to swim in the sea (also in winter).

Public saunas have long been a central part of the Finnish life style. The Kotiharju sauna opened to the public on 10 September 1928. It is the only surviving traditional log-heated public sauna in Helsinki. The Kotiharju sauna has remained unchanged for 70 years. Both the men's and women's sides have huge stoves. Bathers praise the sauna for its soft and mellow steam. There is also a private sauna available for hire, as well as massage and blood-letting.

The Seaside sauna of Rastila Camping is situated by a beautiful bay. The atmosphere is between town and country. It takes just about 17 minutes from the city center by metro.
